Come learn the basics of ice skating with us! Get ready to glide on the ice like a pro!

Join us for a fun and welcoming morning on the ice! Whether you’re a total beginner or just looking to boost your winter confidence, this event is all about community, connection, and enjoying the Skateway together.

What’s Included:

  • Free Skate Rentals: Available for those who need them!

  • Guided Support: We’ll help you with lacing up, finding your balance, and basic techniques (starting, stopping, and turning).

  • Safety Tips: Learn how to stay balanced and step off the ice with confidence.

Bringing Your Own Gear? You are more than welcome to bring your own skates and helmet! We encourage bringing your own helmet if you have one, as our supply is limited.

Meeting Point (Mandatory for All): We will be meeting in front of the Canal Ritz (375 Queen Elizabeth Dr) for skate distribution before heading onto the ice together.

Important: Even if you are bringing your own skates, please meet the group in front of the restaurant so we can get started as a team!

Note: Even if you are bringing your own skates, please meet us at Jack Astor’s so we can head to the ice as a group!

Important Details:

Waiver: In order to participate, all partcipants are required to say Women of Colour Remake Wellness (WoCRW) Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk Agreement - 2026 - failure to sign it will result in not participating in the activity.

Not Skatng? You’re still welcome! Just wear boots with good grip so you can walk safely on the canal and enjoy the atmosphere with us.
